DTCs are Diagnostic Trouble Codes - or known as P codes. They are used to report problems by the ECU, flag the engine management light (EML) and in some instances put the vehicle in Limp Mode.
Sounds good right? Yes, generally. But what about when codes become Phantam codes and won't clear? Or when a repair has been undertaken but the code won't go away despite the engine running beautifully?
Or as i've seen a lot of recently, when a code intermittently comes and goes and even the main dealer can't offer a solution?
Or what happens when the cost of repair outweighs the value of the vehicle? Such as pressure sensor glow plugs which can cost as much as £1,000 to repair.
Well, time to put an end to that. With DTC deletes you can have the codes erased from the ECU. It'll be like they don't exist, cannot be triggered and will not flag the EML.
NOTE: if your vehicle has mechanical faults then this will not fix the fault.
Example codes customers are requesting deleted:
If your goal is to get the EML off then a DTC Delete is a solution for you.
