DPF Remapping in Lincoln --> DPF Delete
DPF ECU delete is a process in which the electronic control unit (ECU) file is modified to remove the DPF system as if it was pre-dpf era. The cost of this can literally save you thousands. Typically a DPF replacement can be from £700-£1500 depending on the vehicle. ECU modifications can stop your vehicle flagging this error and stop it putting the vehicle in to Limp Mode.
This modification is often also done to improve engine performance and fuel efficiency. It can also be a modification where you are adding a performance remap to allow gasses to flow quicker & easier and get increased gains from the engines performance.
Step 1 - ECU Delete
ECU Remapping - DPF Delete Solution is an ECU modification to prevent EMLs and regens.
Remap the vehicles ECU to remove the DPF software as if it never had it in the first place. No more regenerations, no more DTCs for DPF, no more limp mode.
Step 2 - DPF Gut
Remove the DPF internals. (Not included in remap).
Although we know some customers don't bother, it is strongly advised you remove the honeycomb materials from inside the DPF to allow exhaust gasses to flow freely and unrestricted.
NOTE: this is a separate service to ECU Remapping. Many of my customers choose to do this at a later date or know somebody with a welder who can assist, saving more money in the process. I am happy though to offer a quote for gutting.
